Tch. I'm not a baby, so why do they always use the 'too young' excuse?
Maybe you just are, Hana?
S-shut up! I'm old enough, right Matamune?
"I'll let you do this on your own, Hana-sama."
... Which means I'm old enough, right?
"..."
I'll take that as a yes! Right! First thing's first!
[Locked to Hao]
Hey, Uncle Hao. Mother's going to kill me if she finds out I'm talking to you. You're old, right? What does 'womanizer' mean?
Re: [locked]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:53 pm (UTC)When it comes to fighting they obviously just want you to wait until you're stronger...after all no matter how strong you are now there's no substitute for experience and that comes with age. However you can't ever gain experience without actually participating so it's kind of a pick your battles sort of thing.
As for not explaining what things mean...well...I can't be sure but I can take a guess at why they avoid that one. They're embarrassed. After all your parents and Hoshi aren't much older then you right now so they don't have enough years under their belts to have adequate explanations for things. In a way it's better they don't try to explain certain things till they've actually experienced them enough themselves to have an idea of what their talking about.
How old are you again Hana?

Nine.
Re: [locked]
Date: 2009-02-05 05:03 pm (UTC)It does though sweetie, I'm not saying your too young to fight I'm just say some opponents have an advantage over you because they've been around longer. After all the more time you've been alive the more time you've had to amass skills and knowledge.
Lemme give you an example, you'd say Hoshi's pretty bad ass right? But if our beloved younger Hoshi got into a fight with the Hoshi from the time you came from (Older Hoshi) Who'd win and why?
[locked]
Date: 2009-02-05 05:06 pm (UTC)Older Auntie Hoshi. She's mastered more types of combat and been through more than my Auntie Hoshi right now. Plus, the Auntie Hoshi here hasn't died yet.
Re: [locked] [Auntie Jinx is a wealth of information!]
Date: 2009-02-05 05:10 pm (UTC)You're right Older Auntie would win because she's got more experience under her metaphorical belt.
I agree there are some situations where they should at least let you try or fight alongside them.
Is there someone in particular you were thinking of?
As If I couldn't already guess...((OOC: Strikes are not there))

Date: 2009-02-05 05:17 pm (UTC)Uncle Hao, I suppose, though with the way he is right now I wouldn't be able to beat him so there's no sense in trying. But they could at least let me help beat that asshole who hurt Auntie Hoshi!
Re: [Locked]
Date: 2009-02-05 05:21 pm (UTC)Hana I am with you 100% there...last month Hoshi and I got into a big fight about that same subject and we almost stopped being friends over it. I want so badly to punch that stupid Dark right in his stupid face!
But...it's not our fight. No matter how much we want to help...even when Hoshi says she'll let us help...in the end it's gonna come down to her and him and all we can do is give her our strength of support.
But I know exactly how you feel Hana...I care alot for Aunt Hoshi and to think that bastard walked right in and just...did that to her...makes me wanna punch something right now.

But how can I do that if it ends up being an one on one fight between them?
I don't want to watch her die again...
Re: [Locked]
Date: 2009-02-05 05:29 pm (UTC)Sweetie I know you'll protect Hoshi to the end, and I would too...but realistically there's no way you can always prevent her from being hurt.
You can do something better though.
When Hoshi hurts, help sooth the wound, when she falls help pick her up again. When she screams listen to her words and when she cries let her cry on your shoulder till the tears stop.
It's the problem warriors have, no one is good enough to always be there, but we can try our hardest and that's all anyone can ask.

But what if my hardest isn't good enough?

Date: 2009-02-05 05:50 pm (UTC)I wonder if that's alright. Maybe she'll feel too old for it? I remember getting yelled at for it once by some older girl...Thankyou, Jinx-neesan. I'll make sure to tell you.
